3TEZRI - 6 * EIGHT
"Adhibhuta' means perishable nature;" Adhidaivain means "Self" in the form in which an individual being is found and oh, the Best of Beings, 'Adhiyajna' is my self in
the purest form."-4 Note: This explantion of the technical terms given in
shortest possible terms has given rise to different types of explanations which vary in accordance with the theorics pro pounded by the interpreters themselves. Majority view is that this verse shows that every thing - perishable or imparishibje - springs from one source as even the things which are "Kshara" means per ishable courses from "Me" i.e. the Lord who speaks; In other words everyghing is "Bra - hma" - a view propounded by Shankara. It is however, possible to interpret differently looking to the bare language used. This possible interpretation is as under: "Adhibhuta" means material objects which are perishable. Brhma is not perishable so connotat - ion of Bhrama can not be attributed to the word.
IN Jain terminology it means "Ajiva" sata (2) "Abhidaiva" would mean living beings in any form.
in Jain terminology t would mean "Paryayatmak" Jiva (Atmā) in physical form, which is assumed as a result of Karnic activities.
