[23 point of one single Naya. This is explained in the following verses :
ण य दव्वट्ठियपक्खे संसारो णेव पज्जवणयस्स । सासयवियत्तिवायी जम्हा उच्छेअवाईआ ॥ १७ ॥ सुह-दुक्खसंपोगो ण जुज्जए णिञ्चवायपक्खम्मि । एगंतुच्छेयम्मि य सुह-दुक्खवियप्पणमजुत्त । १८ ।। कम्म जोगनिमित्त बज्झइ बंध-ट्ठिई कसायवसा। अपरिणरच्छिण्णेसु य बंघ-ट्ठिइकारणं णत्थि ।। १९ ।। बंधम्मि अपूरन्ते संसारभोघदन्सणं माझं । बन्ध व विणा मक्खिसुहपत्थणा णत्थि मोक्खो य ॥२०॥ तम्हा सव्वे वि णया मिच्छादिट्ठी सपक्वपडिबद्धा । अण्णागणणिस्सिा उण हवंति सम्मत्तसब्भावा ।। २१ ।।
(17) This worldly life cannot be accounted for from Dravyāstika standpoint. It is equally unaccountable from Paryāyāstika point of view. For, the former holds that there is only one element and stable thing ; while the latter holds that birth and decay are the true characteristics of a thing.
(18) From the point of view of those who hold that an entity is unchangeable, happiness and misery cannot stand ; in the opinion of those who hold that things
