Insumming up the lectures, and in making Presidential remarks I addressed the members of both the Digambar and Setambar Schools to make up their differences towards the advancement of both. I said that in Calcutta we had the honour of listening to the learned and eloquent lectures of the distinguished Setambar Sadhoo Shastra Visharad Jainacbarya Vijaya Dharma Suri, but we had no opportunity of coming in contact with a Digambar Scholar here, While in Benares, I studied some of the Setambar Jain books under the Setambar Sadhoo aforementioned, but on enquiry I learnt there were not many learned Digambar Scholars in Benares. Through the Kidness of Muni Indravijay, I got the opportunity of meeting with one Digambar Pandit who gave me some information about his School. but I wanted to learn more. It is no doubt a great fortune that we have got in Calcutta a Digambar Pandit who is a learned Scholar. Benyal is now much advanced. The most orthodox of the Bengali Paudits are now eager to learn something of the doctrine of both the Shree Sudharmaswami Gyanbhandar-Umara, Surat www.umaragyanbhandar.com
