चारित्र
કૈન સંઘ ચતુર્વિધ સંઘ ' ( ચાર પ્રકારનો સમુદાય ) થી ઓળખાય છે. આ ચાર પ્રકારમાં (૧) સાધુ (ર) સાધ્વી (૩) શ્રાવક અને (૪) શ્રાવિકાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. સાધુ--શ્રાવકનાં પુષો સમાવિષ્ટ છે. અને સાધ્વી-શ્રાવિકામાં આ વર્ગ સમાવિષ્ટ છે. સાધુ-સાખી ત્યાગી વર્ગમાં અને શ્રાવક શ્રાવિકા સંસારી વર્ગમાં ગણાય છે.
~જૈન સાધુ ઘર-સંસાર તજી, હિંસા, અસત્યાદિ પાપો છોડી, કંચન કામિનીના યાગી બની, પાદ વિહારી ખતી, સ્વ પર આત્મસાધનામાં તત્પર હોય છે.
