(2) Changes of the Medial Radical Vowel take place in the oblique cases of the singular, and throughout the plural: viz. :
(a)83 Medialu or o becomes
or a [in the instrumental singular, and nominative plural (i. e., only before the short ), and ora in the other cases of the singular and plural]. Thus:
Japokul, a shepherd; instr. sing. Ja pohgli; dat. sing. pohalis
