________________ All in Good Faith Freedom and Justice A wise man calmly considers what is right and what is wrong and faces different opinions with truth, non-violence and peace. This man is guarded by truth and is a guardian of truth. (Dhammapada) Be vigilant, that ye may not do injustice to any one, be it to the extent of a grain of mustard seed. Tread ye the path of justice, for this, verily, is the straight path. (Gleanings from the writings of Baha'u'llah) Allah commands justice, the doing of good and liberality to kith and kin, and he forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion, he instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. (The Holy Qur'an) Good and bad deeds will be narrated before the God of Justice Some will be brought in closer to God, Others pushed away on the basis of their action. Those who have prayed and meditated, toiled appropriately Leave this world with radiant faces And many more will be emancipated with them. (Adi Granth) If ye, O Mortals, realize and understand the laws of happiness and pain ordained by Mazda; and if you learn that liars and wicked persons shall face age long punishment but pious and righteous ones shall enjoy everlasting prosperity, then you shall reach real contentment and salvation, by learning this principle. (Yasna) The sinner and deluded man may succeed at first and even attain high renown for his evil deeds, but Ye, O Lord of Life, are well aware of everything and shall judge the deeds of everyone from his or her own motives through Thy Wisdom. O Mazda [Lord of Wisdom) at last wherever Thy Rule extends, the Eternal Law of Truth shall prevail. (Yasna) O you who have attained to faith: be ever steadfast in your devotion to God, bearing witness to the truth in all equity; and never let hatred of anyone lead you into the sin of deviating from justice. Be just: this is closest to being God-conscious. And remain conscious of God; verily, God is aware of all that you do. (The Holy Qur'an) Creator! you are the same creator of all equally. If the strong attacks the other equally strong Then there is no complaint, no grievance. But when a fierce tiger preys on helpless cattle Then the shepherd must explain! (Adi Granth) - 78 -
