________________ All in Good Faith This is what should be done By one who is skilled in goodness, And one who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, Straightforward and gentle in speech, Humble and not conceited, Contented and easily satisfied, Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways, Peaceful and calm, and wise and skilful, Not proud and demanding in nature, Let them not do the slightest thing That the wise would later reprove. (Sutta-Nipata) The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious and devout souls are everywhere of one religion and when death has taken off the mask, they will know one another, though the divers liveries they wear here make them strangers (William Penn) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the sons of God. Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (The New Testament) - 96
