________________ All in Good Faith We know there's a difference in the colours of our skin; so be proud of your heritage and learn from the lesson they give. Dear Lord, for us to grow we must let go of what's been keeping us apart. Now's the time to put the past behind, together all mankind can make a brand new start. Refrain: Love has no colour ... If we can learn to love with our hearts and not our eyes - love for all brothers, all kinds and all colours - What a world this would be - for you and me. Refrain: Love has no colour ... Music: Ronald Winans (C) 1987 Zomba Enterprises Corporated Words: Marvin Winans, Percy Bady and Ronald Winans 5. SERVICE AND SACRIFICE All remain seated for The Reading from the Universal Prayers, verses 311 and 312 May all be happy. May all be free from disease. May all realise what is good. May none be subject to misery. May the wicked become virtuous. May the virtuous attain tranquillity. May the tranquil be free from all bonds. May the freed make others free. Shanti. (Peace) Shanti. Shanti. All stand to say together the fifth Affirmation led by The Dean with the words: Let us say together the fifth Affirmation: We affirm our membership of the one human family and our concern to express it in service and sacrifice for the common good. All sit for The Reading from the Gospel according to St Luke 6: 37-38 & 41-45. Jesus said, 'Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned; give, and gifts will be given to you. Good measure, pressed and shaken down and running over, will be poured into your lap; for whatever measure you deal out to others will be dealt to you in turn. Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, with never a thought for the plank in your own? How can you say to your brother. "Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you are blind to the plank in your own?" You hypocrite! First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's. There is no such thing as a good tree producing bad fruit, nor yet a bad tree producing good fruit. Each tree is known by its own fruit; you do not gather figs from brambles or pick grapes from thistles. Good people produce good from the store of good within themselves; and evil people produce evil from the evil within them. For the words that the mouth utters come from the overflowing of the heart.' -120
