________________ All in Good Faith Healing The hunger of passions is the greatest disease. Disharmony is the greatest sorrow. (Dhammapada) Now may every living thing feeble or strong, omitting none, tall or middle aged or short, supple or gross of form, seen or unseen, dwelling near or far, born or yet unborn, may every living thing be full of bliss. (The Buddha) He came to me in anguished hunger; And I raised him up and fed him. He came to me with bleeding sores, Lamenting, wailing, sobbing much; And I nursed his wounds and soothed his many hurts. She came to me in great turmoil, Frenzied, fearful, bubbling over With all the agony Of this troubled world, Her eyes imprisoned in the dust; And I cleansed her eyes and healed her vision. The small child came, Stumbling, frightened, sick in heart, Bewildered by the evil Which filled her universe with raucous discord; And I taught her the music of the celestial spheres. They came, and came, and came - The broken, the helpless, the spiritually lost, In infinite numbers they came. (Source unknown) God does not let His servant suffer a difficult hour Such is his prerogative God puts His healing Hand upon His people Sustains them in every breath I am attached to the Lord Saviour in the beginning, Saviour at the end and always. (Adi Granth) There are two ways of healing sickness, material means and spiritual means. The first is by the use of remedies, of medicines; the second consists in praying to God and in turning to Him. Both means should be used and practised. Now, if thou wishest to know the Divine remedy which will heal man from all sickness and will give him the health of the Divine Kingdom, know that it is the precepts and teachings of God. Guard them sacredly. (Baha'i World Faith) - 80 -
