All in Good Faith
Our World
God says,
I am the wind that breathes upon the sea. I am the wave on the ocean,
I am the murmur of the leaves rustling
I am the power of the trees growing,
I am the bud breaking into blossom,
I am the child running in the street,
I am the woman working in the factory,
I am the poor seeking justice,
I am the cry of broken nature,
I am the movement of the salmon swimming,
I am the courage of the wild boar fighting,
I am the strength of people organising,
I am the hope that rises in their hearts,
I am the strength of the ox pulling the plough,
I am the size of the mighty oak,
I am the thoughts of all people
Who praise my beauty and grace.
(Based on an ancient Welsh prayer)
Him the sun cannot express, nor the moon, nor the stars; this lightening cannot express Him, nor what we speak of as fire. Through Him do they all shine.
(Upanishad)
Blessed be God who did not let the world lack anything,
who created for it beautiful creatures,
and these beautiful trees,
that we may see them and be filled with joy.
Nature we see
Nature we hear
Nature we observe with awe, wonder and joy
Nature in the skies
Nature in the whole creation
Nature in the sacred texts
Nature in all reflection
Nature in food, in water, in clothes and in love for all
Nature in species, kinds and colours.
Nature in life-forms
Nature in good deeds
Nature in pride and ego
Nature in air, water and fire
Nature in the soil of the earth.
All nature is yours, O powerful Creator
You command it, observe it and pervade within it.
