Jinēśvara :-Of the Kharataragachchha achāryas, Jinėsvara Sūri wrote the Pramānalaksaņa along with a commentary. That in spite of the good work put in by Haribhadra, Siddhasõna Divakara and Abhayadēva. Svētambara Jains had no surfeit of works on logio may be seen from Jināśvara's remark, "The Jains have neither & Sabdolaksana, i. e., grammar, nor a Nyayalaksana i, e., a book on logio, hence they should be regarded as a modern sect-it was to remove this castigation that Buddhisagara composed a new grammar in verse and I (Jināśvara ) wrote the Pramalaksana.(9)84
Dēvasuri-The next great Svētambara Jain logician whose con. nection with Rajasthan is well known was the greet debater, Dāvasūri, generally known as Vadīdēva sūri. He wrote the Pramanatattvälankāro along with a commentary of his own, the Syâdvadaratnakara. He died in V. 1226.
Hemachandra and others-Hemachandra, a younger contenporary of Dāva Sūri und guru of Kumárapāla, wrote the Pramānamamamsā with a commentary of his own. His pupils, Ramachandra and Guna. chandra wrote the fagnafe.34 A Towards the end of our period. Mallisēna Sūri wrote the Syüdvadamanjari. But we cannot be sure of its having reached Rajasthan during our period; and the same may be said of the works of Nēmichandra, Chandraprabha, Parsvadēvagani, Āpanadasūri. Amarachandra Sūri, Srichandra, Dēvabhadra, Ratnaprabha. and Rajasők hara Sūri.35 We name them bere because most of the good literature produced in Gujarat of those days reached Rajasthan sooner or later.
