We mention below some of them. Silacharya wrote the Chauppanna-mahāpurusachariam" in V. 925. It has a prasasti of 48 verses presented to the Kharatara Jinabhadra which indicates its popularity among the Kharataras." Salibhadracharitra (Prakrit) was copied out in V. 1222,83 The Vilasavatīkatha, an Apabhramsa work by Sadharana, (V. 1123) is based on the Samaraichchakaha of Haribhadra Sūri.84 Devachandra Suri wrote the Santinathacharita in V. 1160. Its extent is 12000 Slokas and the language is Prakrit. 85 Prthvichandracharita of Santi Sūri was written in V. 1161,86 Yasoděva Upadhyaya wrote the Chandraprabhacharita in V. 1178.87 Nine years later, came the Narmadasundarikatha of Mahendra Sūri. in V. 1216 the Neminathacharita of Haribhadra Suri, in 1216 the Munisuvratucharita of Padmaprabha Süri, and in V. 1322 the Santinathacharita of Munidēva which is based on the book of the same name by Devachandra, noticed above. 88 Maladhari Devaprabha wrote the मृगावतीचरित्र. Devachandra's disciple was the great Hemachandra, the spiritual guide of Kumarapala Chaulukya (v. 1199-122). His works probably reached Rajasthan during his life-time. His poetical works include the Dvyasrayamahākāvya, Kumarapalacharita (Prakrit, Trisasthisalākā purusacharit and a number of stutis. The Sanskrit Dvyasraya was commented on by Abhayatilaka (V. 1312), a pupil of the Kharatara Laksmītilaka who is known to have revised his codisciple Purnakalasa's commentary on the Kumarapalacharita (V. 1307 ).89 Hemachandra's disciple Devachandra, wrote a play, the faa, in the preface to which he refers to Kumarapala's victory over Arņorēja, the ruler of Sapadalakṣa."
