Dalal.152 Lexicography, Closely connected with graminar is lexicography. The Jaisalmör Bhandars have Mss. of potag14, fenig iaalaam of TAT, paralyst of eft, 2999 Al of fa, #Calator of faza try, and HTfarachfoizit.158 ___ शब्दरत्नप्रदीप has been mentioned more than once in the गणधरसार्धशतक afa of gafa for completed v. 1293 )154 It must therefore be regarded as an old lexicon, As Jinabhadra, the author of the 3199991qald calls himself an attendant (सेवक ) of जिनवल्लभ and जिनदत्त,155 the lexicon may have been composed about 1150 A. D. Hēmachandra's faigua is accompanied by his commentary. Besides that Hēmachandra wrote four lexicons, afwarafaarafor, alene, gaitalania and Paugera, all of them, except perhaps the last, accompanied by his own commentarios. qarqatge is Mabēndra Sūri's commentary on Hēmachandra's Bateसंग्रह.75 एकाक्षरनाममालिका of विश्वशम्भु is represented by a single paper manuscript. 157 One cannot therefore be sure of its age. Jyotisa and Samudrika, etc Jinavallabha was a good student of salas, and is said to have more than once demonstrated his knowledge of it. 16 Jinapala supplements the statement by saying that he was an expert not only in logic and philosophy but also in astrology, mathematics ( trova ) and qgaat#rafaai etc. 158 If we add to this, the subject mentioned in the TEITAEIPE as necessary for the actie of a poet, 160 we have a ver good idea of the subjects studied, partially or fully, not only b Jains, but also the non-Jains.
