PREFACE
We are delighted that this third edition of the booklet is released on the 30° YJF Anniversary at the 19th Biennial
Jaina Convention 2017 on “Jainism and Science" in
Edison, New Jersey, USA. Various events took place in this last decade which are detailed on the YJF website.
The first edition was compiled by the Yorkshire Jain Foundation (YJF) in 1990. The second edition was published in 2007 on the 20 YJF Anniversary. Both of these editions have English and Hindi, while this new edition has English and Gujarati. The first two editions of the booklet have been immensely useful for the YJF and various other organizations. In fact, the second edition can now be downloaded free from the following site: http://www.yjf.org.uk/page6.htm
Further, the Four Noble Truths have been rendered into a song album Atam Ajar Amar Hai for which the video version is available on the following site with English translation of the lyrics:
