In the family of Yada (the legendary) Sala ; Vinayaditya ; Ereyanga; his sons Ballala [1.], Bittideva (Bittiga, Vishņuvardhana), and Udayaditya ; of these Vishņuvardhana married Lakumadêvi (Lakshmid&vi); their son Narasimha [I.] ; his son Ballala (II.) (defeated the army of king Sômana, .e. the W. Chalukya Somêsvara IV.), married Padmaladevi; their son Narasimha (11.), deporibed as the uprooter of the Makara kingdom' and the establisher of the Chola kingdom."
