Science of Mantra and Dreams
There is also a mention of interesting ways which helps for dream intuition such as there are some mantras, which when chanted on a estimated time with prescribed methodology and rituals foretells the future happening in dreams. Few of such mantras are as follows:30
1. Om namo savvakevalinam swaha
2. Om hrim shrim arham swaha
3. Om hrim namo payanusarinam om kraum jhroum swaha
4. Om namo arihamtnam appdihayavara damsanadharanam viappacchaumanam aim swaha.
Reflection
These symbolic dreams in Jainism are no doubt having a mythical touch by nature but that does not prove it as unreal or existent less or arbitrary explanation. Such symbols have been prevalent in those times. It may be that they might have been factual. Dreams predicting the arrival of great soul are found in almost all the cultures of India and even in other Asian countries. Another possibility is that people of that age may have some mystic powers explored through their own efforts that are completely out of reach to the understanding of the modern world. Basing on facts available we can only assume that although there is no clarity or lack of evidences to prove their historicity but still they cannot be considered mere imagination or mental framings.
