आराधना ज्ञान आत्मा को प्रकाशित करता है, तप उसे शुद्ध करता है और संयम पापों का निरोध करता है। इन तीनों की समन्वित आराधना से ही मोक्ष मिलता है, यही जिनशासन में प्रतिपादित है।
Worship Knowledge enlightens the soul, austerity purifies it and through self-restraint, one gives up the forbidden deeds. These three together beget emancipation according to the declaration of Jinas.
प्रतिस्रोत अनुस्रोत अर्थात् जगत् के प्रवाह में बहना (विषयासक्त रहना) संसार है। प्रतिस्रोत अर्थात् जगत् के प्रवाह के विपरीत चलना (विषयों से विरक्त रहना) संसार सागर से पार होना है।
Against the Current One who swims along with the current of the worldly life is entangled in the cycle of birth and death. One who swims against it, gets liberated.
