अशाश्वत समस्त इन्द्रियाँ, रूप, आरोग्य, यौवन, बल, तेज, सौभाग्य और लावण्य—ये सब शाश्वत नहीं हैं, किन्तु इंद्रधनुष के समान अस्थिर हैं।
Ephemeral All the senses, beauty, health, youth, vigour, magnificence, fortune and elegance-these are not eternal but ephemeral like a rainbow.
एकाकी दुःख आ पड़ने पर मनुष्य अकेला ही उसे भोगता है। मृत्यु आने पर जीव अकेला ही परभव में जाता है। इसलिए ज्ञानी पुरुष किसी को शरण रूप नहीं मानते।
Solitary When in distress, a person has to experience his miseries all alone. After death he goes to the next life all alone. Hence the wise do not consider anyone worth taking shelter under.
