E.g., if the maximum number of molecules. which the soul draws in to bind itself in one instant be 6300; and the duration of their bondage be 48 samayas and there be 6 gunahậnis or terms in the geometric series, then the number of the molecules shed in the 6 ginahầnis respectively will be 3200, 1600, 800, 400, 200 and 100. Here in each gunahậni there are 4-8 samayas. This is called gunahāni âyâma, i.c., the duration of one gunaliâni. The whole series of 6 gunahầnis is called nâiâa gunahôi. The number 2 raised to the power of the number of gunahậni in the nânâgunahầni is called Anyonya bhyasta râsi. In the above example it is=26=64. One samaya prabaddha or unit of Bondage divided by Anyonyâ blyasta râši minus one, gives the number of molecules shed in the last or antima gunahầni.. Here 4392=6299=100 is the last gunahậni. : { The double of the number of gunahâni âyâma is Nisekahậra. Here it is=8x2=16. Chaya is the regular arithmetic difference between any consecutive two of the terms of the series which represents the karmic molecules shed in each successive samaya, of which each gunahậni consists. In the above example in the gunahāni of 8 samayas 3200 molecules: are shed. In the first samaya more are shed than in thePage Navigation
