The book under review is an outcome of the decision taken by author in 1968-69 after his visit to Mount Abu and Sravanbelgola to make Jainism a better known religion in the west. He feels that the pictorial supplementation to the classical Jaina Texts is essential for the better understanding. For the same he visited many remote centre, who are not usually available on any guide map. He also attended an annual conference of Kundakunda Jñanapitha, known as Jaina Vidya Sangosthi held at Indore during 12-13 January 1992.
According to author, who is of German origin but citizen of Australia, it is a first guide to undeservedly over looked religion with open eyes and loving heart. I can say firmly that he is succesful in his aim. Content and presentation of the photographs in the book is of high standard and it should be kept in every library.

जैनधर्म की स्थानकवासी परम्परा की साध्वियों ने पंजाब में व्यापक भ्रमण कर भगवान महावीर के संदेशों के प्रचार एवं पंजाब प्रान्त के जैन बन्धुओं को संस्कारित करने में महान योगदान दिया है। पंजाबी स्थानकवासी जैन परम्परा में प्रवर्तिनी श्री पार्वतीजी महाराज का अग्रगण्य स्थान है। उनकी परम्परा में दीक्षित श्री पार्श्ववतीजी महाराज से 27.10.1947 को दीक्षित उपप्रवर्तिनी श्री स्वर्णकान्ताजी महाराज के दीक्षा स्वर्ण जयन्ती के अवसर पर प्रकाशित इस ग्रन्थ को अवसर की गरिमा के अनुरूप सुन्दर एवं आकर्षक रूप में प्रस्तुत करने हेतु संयोजक श्री पुरुषोत्तमजी जैन एवं मंत्री श्री रवीन्द्र जैन बधाई के पात्र हैं।
डॉ. धर्मचन्द्र जैन (कुरुक्षेत्र) जैसे अग्रगण्य विद्वानों से समन्वित सम्पादक मण्डल ने साध्वी श्री स्मृतिजी के नेतृत्व में इस ग्रन्थ के 5 खण्डों में बहुमूल्य सामग्री को संयोजित किया है। श्रद्धार्चना, व्यक्तित्व दर्शन, प्रवचन पंखुड़ियां, अध्यात्म दर्शन एवं साहित्य, इतिहास कला एवं संस्कृति शीर्षक खण्डों में अनेक मौलिक, शोधपूर्ण एवं सर्वेक्षणात्मक आलेख संकलित हैं। इनके संकलन के कारण यह ग्रन्थ प्रत्येक पुस्तकालय एवं जैन विद्या के अध्येता हेतु संग्रहणीय बन गया।
