aim, the faster our insight into new levels of consciousness will open up.
Orientation towards growth arises either through intuition or through the acquisition of knowledge. Both paths are equally valid; both equally open up access to this subtle ability and perception; both produce the same dynamic stimulation of our development6.
This means that at all times people were able to find their path to liberation intuitively, without ever getting access to scriptures dealing with this type of knowledge. The Tattvarthasutra states explicitly that the unfoldment of consciousness is independent of any formal knowledge - and this consequently also means all information contained in the Tattvarthasutra. The real key to more advanced stages of consciousness is our very own intuitive comprehension. Everyone heading in this direction is capable of unfolding this comprehension from within himself in a self-sufficient way and at any time he decides to do so.

Confidence in the purpose of reality is the key to liberation. - But what is reality?
Many of today's people would probably spontaneously reply: 'Reality? That's - working, eating, drinking, sleeping, recreation, family, friends, television and vacations. What's the point of your question?'
6 The one and only cause for intuitive orientation towards growth
(samyag darshana) to rise is the removal of inner blocks that prevent us from perceiving this special ability of our consciousness. As soon as these obstacles are removed, we spontaneously activate this intuitive key to inner expansion. It is entirely irrelevant whether the removal of the obstacles came comes from within ourselves (by intuition) or is triggered by outside factors (instruction by others, the study of corresponding knowledge etc.).
Both factors are independent of each other, - both may appear simultaneously. Since both produce the same result, it is irrelevant which one appears first.
