dishes and the like. (v) Viryantaraya refers to that kind of
action-currents which secretly work in such a way that a man, inspite of his having a powerful will, a good moral stamina and other requisite materials and conditions conducive to the accomplishment of an end, fails to carry out his object. In the word vir yántaraya, the word-virya denotes strength, force, power or the
will to do a thing. Now from what precedes, it is clear that the truths underlying the Antaraya karma cannot be gainsaid. Cases of failures in the performance and enjoyment of certain things and properties, other causes and conditions conducive to their accomplishments being the same, very often come into our cognisance where we fail to discover their real causes.
