He therefore requested that by way of extreme kindness and favour a Royal Mandate, which is obeyed by all the world, be issued to the effect that the heaven-reaching mountains of Siddhachalji Girnarji, Tarungaji, Kessurianathji and Abooji situate in the country of Gujrat, and all the five mountains of Rajgirji, and the mountain of Somed Sekhurji alias Paresnathji, situate in the country of Bengal, and all the cotees and all temples below the mountains, and all the places of worship and pilgrimage of (followers of the Jain Sitambari religion throughout our empire. Wherever they may be, be in his possession ; and that no one can slaughter any animal on those mountains and in the temples or below or about them. As he had come from a long distance and in truth his request was just and proper, and appeared not to be repugnant to the Mohamedan Law; it being the rule of the religious sages to respect and preserve all religions ; and as it become evident upon our enquiry and after thorough investigation that all those mountains and places of worship really belong to the (followers of the) Jain Sitambari religions from a long space of time, therefore we comply with his request and grant to, and bestow upon, Hur
