________________ AN EPITOME OF JAINISM. said that there must have existed other Suris or heads of the church between AryaSusthita (No. 12) and Arya Sinhagiri (No. 15) besides Indradinna and Dinna (Nos. 13 and 14). But unfortunately the Pattavalis, we have come across, are as well silent on the point except that during Indradinna's time the famous Kâlikacharya flourished. 14. Dinna. He belonged to Gautam gotra. His two disciples were Santi Sen and Sinhagiri. 15. Sinhagiri. He was of Kousik gotra and assumed the headship after Dinna. During his time the great Acharya named Padaliptacharya better known as Bridhabadi Suri, flourished and his well-known pupil Siddha Sena, Divakar (Kumudchandra) a contemporary of king Vikramaditya identified by some with Kshapanaka composed the famous stotra known as Kalyanmandir. According to Jain tradition king Vikramaditya ascended the throne 470 years after Mahavira in 57 B.C. and was a believer in Jainism. Sinhagiri Suri died in 20 A.D. 547 years after Mahavira. 664
