________________ 246 DOCTRINE OF THE JAINAS and 9 Avvāvāhal and Aggicca each with each having a retinue of 100 or, resp , 1,000 In the centre of this circle forming out of Black Fields alternating with Logantiy a abodes there lies Ritthābha whose gods (again 900 in number) are equally counted among the Logantıya.2 The qualities of all these abodes correspond with those of the Bambhaloga, and as does the latter they, too, of course rest upon the hull of viscous wind Analogous to the Logantiya in the Bambhaloga, the Kıbbisiya gods (deva-kruviszyā Viy. 488b; Thān. 162a) in different Kappa occupy special places corresponding to their lower3 rank already expressed by its name. According to the time their lives are supposed to last they are grouped into three classes.
