A Remarkable Personality Pujya Ganini Pramukh Shri Gyanmati Mataji Every moment of the life of whom is a new page of the golden history, every step of whom is the initiator of bulliding a new Tirth, each point of view of whom is encompassing the ocean in itself, each word of the writings of whoin essence or Ja:7.. : 5ript:795) and every activity of whom is for depicting 'Moulardur' (Jain scripture describing rules & norms for Jaln-Sadhus), by the pious inspiration of such a reverend Jain SadhviPujya Ganini Pramukh Aryika Shiromani Shri Gyanmati Mata Ji, there had been the restoration and development of a number of Tirths (Pilgrimage-centres) as Hastinapur, Ayodhya, Mangitungi, Prayag, Kundalpur (Nalanda) etc. at one hand and on the other hand, she is providing new paths to the society with continuous new inspirations.
Pujya Ganini Shri Gyanmati Mataji was born on Oct.22, 1934, Ashwin Shukla Purnima (Sharad-Purnima). She developed the feeling af renunciation by studies of religious scriptures in childhood and fortune assembled in previous births. In 1952 at a young age of 18 years, she undertook the vow of celibacy for whole of her life in Saptam Prosima (Vratas mentioned for a Shravak) on the day of Sharad-Purnima only. Again by taking Kistartika Deeksha in 1953 and Arvika Deeksha from Acharya Shri Veersagar Ji Maharaj, the first disciple Acharya of Param Pujya CharitraChakravarti Acharya Shri Shantisagar Ji Maharaj, in 1956 on Varishok! Kristmu Duj, she has dignified the highest ranks of the first Balbralunacharini (Celibacy vow since childhood) Arvika and Ganini Pramukh.
