kitane dina me sIkhI jA sakatI hai ? isakA uttara yahI hai ki kisI bhI bhASA kA abhyAsa yUM to apane adhyavasAya para hI nirbhara hai lekina sAmAnyatayA pAli meM kisI bhI saskRtajJa kI gati zIghra hI ho sakatI hai| pAli saskRta se utanI dUra nahIM hai jitanI prAkRta / prAkRta meM to vyaJjana kA svara bhI ho jAtA hai lekina pAli meM nahI hotA jaise zakuntalA kA prAkRta meM saundale ho jAyagA lekina pAli meM hogA kevala skuntlaa| Page #9 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ tripiTaka kA adhyayana karane se patA calatA hai ki anya dhArmika grantho kI taraha 'buddha-vacana' me kucha viziSTa prazno kA uttara vidyamAna hai| ThIka unhI aura vaise hI prazno kA uttara nahI, jaise prazno kA uttara anya grantho me dene kA prayatna kiyA gayA hai| kyoki kucha prazno ke bAre me buddha kahate hai-"bhikSuo, yadi koI kahe ki me taba taka bhagavAn (buddha) ke upadeza ke anusAra nahI calUMgA, jaba taka ki bhagavAn mujhe yaha na batA de ki sasAra zAzvata hai, vA azAzvata, sasAra sAnta hai vA ananta, jIva vahI hai jo garIra hai vA jIva dUsarA hai zarIra dUsarA hai, mRtyu ke bAda tathAgata rahate hai, vA mRtyu ke bAda tathAgata nahI rahate to bhikSuo, yaha bAte to tathAgata ke dvArA ve-kahI hI rahegI aura vaha manuSya yU~ hI mara jaaygaa|" (pR 22) / ____ ina be-kahI-avyAkRta vAto ke sambandha me hame dhyAna rakhanA hai ki (1) buddha ne kucha bAto ko avyAkRta rakkhA hai aura (2) buddha ne kucha hI vAto ko avyAkRta rakkhA hai| isa lie eka to hama jina bAto ko buddha ne bekahI (=avyAkRta) rakkhA hai, unake bAre me buddha kA mata jAnane ke lie vyartha hairAna na ho, dUsare apanI apanI pasanda kI kucha bAto, apane pasanda ke kucha mato-jaise Izvara aura AtmA Adi--ko 'avyAkRto' kI ginatI me rakha kara, avyAkRto kI sakhyA na bddhaaye| sasAra ko kisane banAyA? kaba banAyA? Adi prazno ko buddha ne najara-andAja kiyA, unakA uttara nahI diyA-so akAraNa hI nhii| unakA kahanA thA-"bhikSuo, jaise kisI AdamI ko jahara me bujhA huA tIra lagA ho, usake mitra, riztedAra use tIra nikAlane vAle vaidya ke pAsa le jaave| lekina vaha kahe-'mai taba taka yaha tIra nahI nikalavAU~gA, java / taka yaha na jAna lUM ki jisa AdamI ne mujhe yaha tIra mArA hai, vaha kSatriya hai, / brAhmaNa hai, vaizya hai, vA zUdra hai,' athavA vaha kahe-'mai taba taka yaha tIra nahI nikalavAU~gA, jaba taka yaha na jAna lUM ki jisa AdamI ne mujhe yaha tIra mArA Page #10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ / hai, usakA amuka nAma hai, amuka gotra hai,' athavA vaha kahe-'mai taba taka yaha tIra nahI nikalavAU~gA, jaba taka yaha na jAna lUM ki jisa AdamI ne mujhe yaha tIra mArA hai, vaha lambA hai, choTA hai vA maeNjhale kada kA hai, to he bhikSuo usa AdamI ko ina vAto kA patA lagegA hI nahIM, aura vaha yUM hI mara jaaegaa|" (pR0 23) jisa eka prazna ko buddha ne uThAyA aura jisakA uttara diyA hai, usakA samvandha na kevala sabhI manuSyo se hai, kintu sAre jIvo se, na kevala sabhI dezo se hai, balki samasta vizva se, usakA sambandha atIta se hai, anAgata se hai, vartamAna se hai| prazna jitanA sarala hai, usase adhika vyApaka hai| prazna hai, 'kyA hama dukhI hai ?' buddha kA uttara hai, 'haaN'| kyA isa dukha se chUTa sakate hai ? buddha kA uttara hai, 'haaN'| prAcIna aura vartamAna kAla me aise manuSya rahe hai aura hai jinakA mata hai ki sasAra me paidA hue hai to usame adhika se adhika majA uDAne kI koziza honI caahiye| yahI eka mAtra buddhimAnI hai| isa 'buddhimAnI' me aura to koI dopa nahIM-dopa kevala itanA hI hai ki adhika se adhika majA uDAne ko hI jIvana kA paramArtha vanA lene vAlo ke hisse me AtA hai adhika se adhika dukh| pratyeka 'maje' ko vaha duganA karate hai, isa AzA se ki unhe duganA majA aaegaa| lekina hotA kyA hai ? 'zruti pratipAdita' hone ke atirikta kyA aura bhI koI pramANa hai ? aura zruti kI prAmANi - katA me kyA pramANa hai ? sasAra ke bhogo ko hI parama paramArtha mAnane vAlo ko yadi hama jaDavAdI = bhogavAdI kahe, to sAsArika vastuo ko sarvathA mithyA mAnane vAlo ko hama AtmavAdI vA brahma-vAdI kaha sakate hai / buddha kA apanA vAda kyA hai ? tripiTaka me sasAra kA varNana dono dRSTiyo se hai / sAdhAraNa AdamI kI dRSTi se bhI aura arhat jIvanmukta kI dRSTi se bhI / vyAvahArika dRSTi se bhI ora yathArtha dRSTi se bhI / sAdhAraNa AdamI kI dRSTi se sasAra me phUla bhI hai kaoNTe bhI hai, dukha bhI hai sukha bhI hai, lekina arhata kI dRSTi se sasAra me kaoNMTe hI kaoNTe haiM, dukha hI dukha hai / khujalI ke rogI ko khAja ke khujalAne me jo majA AtA hai vaha "na laDDU khAne me, na peDe khAne me / " khAja kA khujalAnA usake lie majA hai, sukha hai aura khAja kA na khujalAnA -- yU~ hI khAja hote dete rahanA kaoNTe hai, dukha hai / thoDI dera ke lie vaha yaha bhUla jAtA hai ki svastha manuSya kI koI aisI bhI avasthA hai jisame na khAja hotI hai, na khujalAnA / khAja se pIDita AdamI ke lie khAja honA avAJchanIya hai, khujalAnA vaanychniiy| svastha AdamI dono se paraheja karatA hai / na use khAja honA priya hai, na khujalAnA / sAdhAraNa AdamI ke lie sasAra ke sukha vAJchanIya hai, dukha avAJchanIya, arhat dono ko eka dRSTi se dekhatA hai / indriyo aura mana kI jina cacalatAo ko hama 'majA lenA' kahate hai, zAnta-citta arhat ke lie vaha sabhI caJcalatAye dukha hai / Page #12 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ tripiTaka me yaha jo buddha ne vAra vAra kahA hai ki "bhikSuo, dukha Aryasatya kyA hai ? paidA honA dukha hai, bUDhA honA duHkha hai, maranA dukha hai, goka karanA duHkha hai, ronA pITanA duHkha hai, pIDita honA dukha hai, parezAna honA dukha hai, thoDe me kahanA ho to paoNca upAdAna skandha hI dukha hai," so arhat kI hI dRSTi se kahA hai| tava to buddha dharma vilkula nirAgAvAda hI nirAzAvAda hai? nhii| nirAzAvAda kahatA hai dukha hai, aura dukha se chuTakArA nahIM, lekina vuddhadharma eka yogya cikitsaka kI bhaoNti kahatA hai "dukha hai aura dukha se chuTakArA hai|" jo dharma binA kisI paramAtmA me vizvAsa ke, vinA kisI paramAtmA ke avatAra putra yA paigambara para nirbhartA ke, vinA kisI 'IzvarIya grantha' ko mAnane kI majabUrI ke, vinA kisI purohita Adi kI AvazyakatA ke sabhI dukho kA ata kara dene kA rAstA batAtA hai, usase vaDha kara AzAvAdI dharma kauna sA hogA? haoN to isa dukha-sasAra kA kAraNa kyA hai ? Izvara? buddha kahate hai "vaha Izvara bhI vaDA kharAva hogA jisane (kucha logo ke mata me) aisA dukhamaya sasAra bnaayaa|" buddha ke mata me dukha kA kAraNa hama svaya hai, hamArI apanI avidyA hai, hamArI apanI tRSNA hai| "bhikSuo, yaha jo phira phira janma kA kAraNa hai, yaha jo lobha tathA rAga se yukta hai, yaha jo jahI kahI majA letI hai, yaha jo tRSNA hai, jaise kAma-tRSNA, bhava-tRSNA, vibhava-tRSNA-yaha tRpNA hI dukha ke samudaya ke bAre me Arya-satya hai (pR0 11) Upara kaha Aye hai ki vuddha kA jo vizepa upadeza hai, vaha kevala 'dukha aura dukha se mukti' kA upadeza hai| "do hI cIje bhikSuo, mai sikhAtA hU~-dukha aura duHkha se mukti"| (saMyutta ni0) / prazna hotA hai yaha dukhI hone vAlA kauna hai ? yaha dukha se mukta hone vAlA kauna hai ? Atma-vAdI darzano se yadi yaha prazna pUchA jAe to unakA to sIdhA uttara hai 'jiiv-aatmaa'| Page #13 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ lekina jaba buddha se pUchA jAtA hai ki 'Apa kahate hai 'manuSya du kha bhogatA hai, manuSya mukta hotA hai, to yaha dukha bhogane vAlA, duHkha se mukta hone vAlA kauna hai ?" buddha kahate hai "tumhArA yaha prazna hI galata hai (na kallo'ya paJho) prazna yUM honA cAhiye ki kyA hone se dukha hotA hai| aura usakA uttara yaha hai ki tRSNA hone se dukha hotA hai|" yadi Apa phira yaha jAnanA cAhe ki taSNA kise hotI hai to phira buddha kA vahI uttara hai ki "tumhArA yaha prazna hI galata hai ki tRSNA kise hotI hai, prazna yUM honA cAhiye ki kyA hone se tRSNA hotI hai" ? aura isakA uttara yaha hai ki vedanA ( indriyo aura vipayo ke sparza se anubhUti) hone se tRSNA hotI hai| isa prakAra yaha pratyayo se utpatti kA niyama (pratItya-samutpAda) sadA calatA rahatA hai| eka ke hone se dUsare kI utpatti hotI hai, eka ke nirodha se dUsare kA nirodh| "avidyA ke hone se saskAra, saskAra ke hone se vijJAna, vijJAna ke hone se nAma-rUpa, nAma-rUpa ke hone se cha Ayatana, cha Ayatano ke hone se sparza, sparza ke hone se vedanA, vedanA ke hone se tRSNA, tRSNA ke hone se upAdAna, upAdAna ke hone se bhava, bhava ke hone se janma, janma ke hone se buDhApA, maranA, zoka, ronA-pITanA, dukha, mAnasika cintA tathA parezAnI hotI hai| isa prakAra isa sAre ke sAre dukha-skandha kI utpatti hotI hai| bhikSuo, ise pratItya-samutpAda kahate hai| avidyA ke hI sampUrNa virAga se, nirodha se saskAro kA nirodha hotA hai| saskAro ke nirodha se vijJAna-nirodha, vijJAna ke nirodha se nAma-rUpa nirodha, nAma-rUpa ke nirodha se cha Ayatano kA nirodha, cha Ayatano ke nirodha se sparza kA nirodha, sparza ke nirodha se vedanA kA nirodha, vedanA ke nirodha se tRSNA kA nirodha, tRSNA ke nirodha se upAdAna kA nirodha, upAdAna ke nirodha se bhava-nirodha, bhava ke nirodha se janma kA nirodha, janma ke nirodha se buDhApe, zoka, rone-pITane, dukkha, mAnasika-cintA tathA pare Page #14 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ zAnI kA nirodha hotA hai / isa prakAra isa sAre ke sAre dukha skandha kA nirodha hotA hai / " ( pR0 30 ) tava prazna hotA hai ki yadi yathArtha me koI dukha ko bhogatA hai hI nahI, to phira dukha se mukti kA prayatna vyartha ? haoN, sacamuca yadi hame yaha yathArtha - dRSTi upalabdha ho jAe ki 'jIva- AtmA' nAma kI koI vastu nahI, yaha kevala hamAre ahaGkAra kA eka sUkSma prativimva hai, avazepa hai aura ho jAe hamAre isa ahakAra kA sarvathA nAza, to phira hame dukha se mukta hone kA prayatna karane kI AvazyakatA nahI / * usa avasthA me na du kha rahegA, na dukha kA bhoktA, na prazna kI gujAyaza rahegI na usake uttara kI / kyA yaha jo dukha kA ekAntika nirodha hai, jise nirvANa kahate hai jIte jI prApta kiyA jA sakatA hai ? hA~, isI 'cha phITa ke zarIra' me prApta kiyA jA sakatA hai / "bhikSuo, AdamI jIte jI nirvANa ko prApta karatA hai, jo kAla se sImita nahI, jisake bAre meM kahA jA sakatA hai ki 'Ao aura svaya dekha lo,' jo Upara uThAne vAlA hai, jise pratyeka buddhimAna AdamI svaya pratyakSa kara sakatA hai| " bhikSu, jaba zAntacitta ho jAtA hai, jaba (vandhano se ) vilkula mukta ho jAtA hai, taba usako kucha aura karanA bAkI nahI rahatA / jo kAryyaM vaha karatA hai, usame koI aisA nahI hotA, jisake lie use pazcAttApa ho / " isa prakAra kA arhatva prApta bhikSu jaba zarIra choDatA hai, taba usake pA~ca skandho kA kyA hotA hai ?
