(6) The sixth is called अवम्भवज्जणपडिमा : - पुव्वोदियगुणत्तो विसेसओ विजियमोह णिज्जो य । वज्जइ अवम्भमेगन्तओ उ राई पि थिरचित्तो ॥ सिंगारकहाविरओ इत्थीइ समं रहम्मि नो ठाइ । चयइ य अप्पसंग तहा विभूतं च उक्कोसं ॥ एवं जा छम्माका एसोऽहिगओ उ इयरहा दिहं । जावज्जीवं प्रि इमं वज्जइ एयम्मि लोगम्मि ॥ “In the sixth, the upāsaka, aftor having cultivated all the previously mentioned virtues and having parti★oularly_subdued all acts which delnds (the mind), abandons completely for a maximum period of six months enjoyment of sexual pleasures even at night with a firmness of mind; he abstains from amorous talk; does not stand in private with women; abandons excessive contact (with women) and decoration (of Abody). This is what he must do for six months ; but it 'is elsewhere seen in the world that he abandons (sextal pleasures) throughout his life." : ( 7 ) The seventh is called सच्चित्ताहारवज्जणपडिमा - सच्चित्तं आहारं वज्जर असणाइयं निरवसेसं । सेसवयसमाउत्तो जा मासा सत्त विहिपुत्रं ॥ “ The seventh is one in which the upāska, while observing all other Vows, completely gives up for -seven months, the use of raw ( सच्चित्त) articles of *food etc.".
