in F. I have followed Dr. Hoernle's reading. The Com. Bays कोपातिशयप्रदर्शनार्थः शब्दः but does not give here its. sanskirt equivalent, but olsewhere it is explained asआशुरुप्त (१) and आशुरुष्ट. I think even if we read आसुरुत्त, its. Sk. equivalent should be आशुरक्त. मिसिमिसीयमाण, present participle from a des'i root मिसिमिसीय, breathe heavily in anger हीणपुण्णचानहासिय is a person at the time of whose birth the (fast) of holy 14th day of the month was not yet. completed. The meaning seems to be that the birth of a child on the 14th day of the month desecrates the possha and hence the child is inauspicious. Com.हीना असं. पूर्णा पुण्या चतुर्दशीतिथि: जन्मकाले यस्य. We odn also explain it as a कर्मधारय ofहोणपुण्ण, हीनपुण्य and चाउसिय, चातुर्दशिक, i.., born on the 14th day and hence devoid of merit. सीलाई oto.; the Com. says, शीलानि अणुव्रतानि, व्रतानि दिग्वतानि, विरमणानि रागादिविरतयः प्रत्याख्यानानि नमस्कारसहितादीनि, पोषधोपवासान् आहारादिभेदन चतुर्विधान, अट्टदुहवसट्टे, completely overcome by unhappy thoughts. आर्तस्य ध्यानविशेषस्य यो दुहट्टो दुःस्थगः दुनिरोधो वशः पारतन्त्र्यं तेनात; अथवा आतेन दुःखार्तः आत दुखार्तः तथा वशेन विषयपारतन्त्र्येण ऋतः परिगतः वशातः,ततःकर्मधारयःम i.e, miserable and unhappy.
