:309: and external manners without putting into practice the instruotions given by the Tirthankaras, is not able to escape from the clutches of Karman. On the contrary, such a person gives an impression of a mad man. 37-38 (2586-2587).
And, if you claim to be the follower of Tirthankara's dress and manners, is your imitation similar to the behaviour of the Tirthankara wholly or partly? If it is so wholly, then you should note that-- न परोवएसवसया न य छउमत्था परोवएस पि । दिति, न य सीसवग्गं दिक्खंति जिणा जहा सव्वे ॥३९॥२५८८॥ तह सेसेहि वि सव्वं कजं जह ते हिं सव्वसाहम्मं । एवं च कओ तित्थं न चेदचेलो त्ति को गाहो ? ॥४०॥२५८९॥ 39.
