Define Matter substance (Pudgal Dravya) That which possesses touch, taste, smell (odour) and colour as its (Basic, specific) attributes is called matter substance (Pudgal Dravya). Q. 18. How many types of matter substance are there? Matter substance is of 2 types :(i) Atom (Parmanu) (ii) Molecule (Skandha). Q. 19. Define Atom : The smallest (indivisible) particle or unit of matter substance which can not be fur ther divided is called an atom (Parmanu). Q. 20. Define Molecule (Skandha). The union or bondage of two or more than two atoms is called a molecule (Skandha). Q. 21. Define Bondage (Bandba). That particular relationship (Between two or more than two substances) which conveys the knowledge of oneness in many ( separate ) things is called Bondage (Bandha).
