________________ १५२ मार्कण्डेयविरचितं [१७. ११ - 'एक उण हणुमंते सव्व लंक तुह डहउँ । एहु मरिओ सिं रावण रामविग्गह पुण वहुँ' ॥ [ = एकेन पुनः हनुमता सर्वा लङ्का तव दग्धा । ____ असौ मारितोऽसि रावण रामविग्रहः पुनः महान् ॥ ] १७. ११. हो च स्वमो) च स्यात् । रुक्खहो अच्छई देक्ख वा । चकारात् पूर्वोक्तं च ॥ १७. १२. कस्ये वा कः प्रत्ययः । मअणइ । पक्षे मअणओ ॥ १७. १३. सौ पुंस्थत ओ क्वचित् । भगीरथवर्धमानमते । सप्पो ॥ १७. १४, जसो हे च रुक्खहे । बालाहे ॥ १७. १५. स्त्रियामुच्च जश्शसोः उत्स्यात् । बालाउ । चकारात् बालाहे ॥ 31 Mss. दुअ. 32 Mss. and B हणुमंते ; em. is mine; of. Ps. XVII, 17, for the instrumental would carry better sense than the locative. 33 B डड्डउ ; G उब्भउ; I डउ; 0 डउ; U as suggested above. 34 G मचिउअ ; IO मचिउसि; U मरिउस ; B मरिओसि ; em. is mine. 35 I वडूउ ; UO वड्डउ ; G विभउ. * B regards the last two sents. as two separate quotations. There is no indication to that end in Mss. As the lines themselves show, they form a single stanza. Here the reading of B affife is definitely defective, first because it is not authorised by any of the Mss. and secondly because it violates the ending 3 of nom, sing, in Apabhramśa Again, all the Mss. show 3-ending rightly in conformity with the rule of Ap. The reading-rê in place of-fi in Mss is due to the confusion arising out of the similarity of 5 and I letter in Oriya script. So the reading suggested by me is most sensible. Then the stanza would mean, The whole of your Lankā was burnt down by Hanumān alone You will surely die, o Rāvana, (at the hands of ) this Rāma, the great'. for ag or ag see Hc. IV, 371, 36 Mss. 375.
