The voiced sounds are changed into the voiceless (V. 100); e.g. gagana> kakala, gharma>khamma; sometimes voice is retained (V. 101); e.g. yajana >jajala and also cacala. II. ~ and n> 1 (V. 103); e.g. bhanati>phalati ; dhvanati > thvalati : vaņa> pala (V. 104). III. r>1 (V. 105); e.g. caraṇa>calala. IV. ņ and n> ñ (optionally V. 106) e.g. kanaka > kaña ka ; parna>saเที่ส. V. iva, eva>yeva (V. 107); e.g. harir eva> hali yeva. VI. hrdaya>hitaa ka (V. 108). VII.
