________________ nothing else; they have not understood that the worldly life is temporary How is it possible for her to do so, when they each have different accounts with her? The children on the other hand complain about their mother taking sides. This is the cause of disputes in the world today. You may have to scold your child and at times you may even have to say something to your wife. But you should do so in a make-believe way, as if you are an actor in a play, without any emotional involvement from within. (P.378) Questioner: Why does the mother feel the way she does towards the child she beats repeatedly for no reason? (15) ALL RELATIONSHIPS ARE MERELY GIVE AND TAKE Dadashri: It is because she has some revenge for him from her past life. And for the one she pampers, she has an account of attachment from her previous life. The world, however expects her to treat all her children the same. (P.389) If your wife and your child were truly yours, then they would share all your pain and suffering. If you were to become paralyzed, would your son share your paralysis? No one can take away your pain; these are all merely your accounts from your previous life. As a son, you will only receive from your father, precisely what is owed to you from your previous life. (P.384) Many children look after their parents so well that they put their parents before themselves. It is not because of the children that this happens. It is because of the merit karma of the parents that they are treated so well. Everything is according to our own accounts. We suffer because of our own faults. Why did we have to be born in this Kaliyug? Was there not a Satyug when everyone lived harmoniously? In Kaliyug everyone we encounter will be awkward and difficult. If your son is good, then his wife or his in-laws will be bad. In this way the fire of discontent keeps burning in all the homes. (P.397) A mother beats one of her children although he does nothing wrong, while she pampers another who is mischievous and unmanageable. All of them are her children and yet she treats them all differently, why? Questioner: Each has brought different karmas with him. Questioner: If a mango tree bears fruit, all the mangoes will taste the same, whereas children of the same parents all have different qualities of thought, speech and conduct. Why is that so? Dadashri: All the accounts are being repaid. The mother wants to treat all her children equally, but she is not able to do so.
