________________ 1000 Message It is a matter of pleasure to know that a classical work of Indian philosophy in Sanskrit "Anekant Jay Pataka" is going to be published with a good translation by Jain Saint Muni Shri Yashratna Vijayji Maharaj. "Anekantvad" is the unique principle of the Jain philosophy. A single object can be viewed by the different angles of the eye-sight. The descriptions of the object from different angles will not be the same but they all are correct from their angles and their combinations can describe the object in totality and clarity is the inference of the theory of "Anekantvad". Anekantvad advocates the acceptance of the different views and opinions which is required for maintaining the cordial environment in the society. The real Ahimsa is not only to abstain from physical violence but also to have the tolerance for different views and opinions is the theme of Anckantvad. In this context the sanskrit book Anekant jay pataka to be published with a good translation will be a source of guidance and inspiriration for the human kind. Intolerance to the different opinions and views of others, prejudice and bias attitude etc are responsible for any conflict and for which the theory of Anckantvad explained in the book Anekant Jay Pataka shows the path to bring the harmony in society. With regards to Acharya Shri Haribhadrasurji, the renowned scholar and writer of the book Anekant Jay Pataka. I convey my gratitude to Saint Muni Shri Yashratna Vijayji Maharaj, for translation of this wonderful book with the guidance of Acharya Gunratna Surishwarji and Acharya Shri Rashmiratna Surishwarji, for their priceless boon to the mankind.
