________________ Dravyārthika Naya (single) in number with respect to substance; it is eternal, noncorporeal (i.e., devoid of colour etc.); it is pervading the whole Loka (cosmos); it has innumerable number of Pradeśas (the indivisible units of the substance); it is antithesis of Adharmāstikāya (fundamental substance quâ medium of rest). Stand Point quâ substance - That intended purpose of the knower, which, by subordinating the paryāyā (mode), apprehends the Dravya (substance); through it, only the aspect of permanence of the substance is taken into account (ignoring the aspect of transitoriness). Actualistic standpoint – The last one of the seven kinds of Naya (nonabsolutistic standpoint) ; The non absolutistic standpoint which accepts only the employment of that word which actually excercises the activity connoted by it; e.g., the teacher is only one who is actually employed in the activity of teaching.
