________________ All in Good Faith The individual reader will also find a rich devotional resource in this appropriate quotations. section. The third part of the book reproduces some orders of service including a beautiful 'imaginary' service by Claire Dalley, a student at Westminster College, Oxford. Each service is, of course, particular to the occasion for which it was arranged. They are not to be slavishly imitated, but may suggest new possibilities or illustrate some of the practical ways in which theoretical questions have been addressed. The fourth part includes an annotated bibliography of collections of readings and prayers. We are grateful to the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Faiths for inviting us to undertake this project. We are also grateful to the contributors, and to many other people who helped with this project, whose names are listed at the back, who either answered the questionnaire or who sent us sample services or who offered advice verbally or in writing. We owe a particular debt of gratitude to Sally Richmond who with loving care prepared the material for the printer. The book is dedicated to the memory of her husband Sir Alan Richmond, who was a strong and generous supporter of interfaith understanding and cooperation. Beyond that we acknowledge all who in their prayers affirm the unity of the human family. May this volume help others to learn from them. July 1997
