Your great and incomparable merits such as control over senses have captivated my heart. Your selflessness and the subjects you select for delivering sermons are indescribable. My entire family owes a deep debt of gratitude to your Holy self for the fatherly tenderness and care with which you have drawn us to the path of religion.
I beg leave to dedicate this invaluable work to you as an humble tribute and holy offering in recognition of the incomparable services you have rendered to the spread of Jaina literature by placing at my disposal rare manuscripts that you were careful to go through and correct yourself and by giving me on all occasions and at all times your invaluable sympathy, help, advice and guidance in every matter of difficulty, thus rendering my task of publication as easy and smooth as it should become.
I am paying this tribute as a spontaneous and heart-felt offering in spite of your wishes to the contrary.
Compared with the efforts that the Jaina scholars—the ascetics and laymen as well, have made in the past to spread the sacred literature of Jainism far and wide, out of mere love of learning and kno as a matter of pious duty owed by them to Lord Mahavira of holy and imperishable memory, my publishing work is like a mere drop in the ocean.
