Avadhidarśanavaranīya which produces the hindrance of transcendental undifferentiated cognition of material things. Kevala darśanavaranīya which covers the pure and perfect intuition. Nidrā produces light and easy sleep. Nidrā-nidrā creates deep slumber with difficulty in awakening. Pracalā causes a sleep while sitting or standing. It is a form of stupor. Pracalā pracalā given intensive sleep while sitting, standing or walking. We may consider this as somnambulistic. Styānarddhi induces deep sleep while walking and doing some superhuman deeds. It may be referred to hypnotic form of sleep. III. Vedaņiya Karma : The Vedanīya karma causes the feeling of pain and pleasure. It has, therefore, two sub-species: 32 1. Sātā- Vedanīya karma which causes a feeling of pleasure. 2. Asātā- Vedaniya karma which causes the feeling of pain. IV. Mohaņiya Karma Mohanīya karmaover powers right faith and conduct.33 It has two main divisions: a) darśana mohaṇīya (faith obscuring) and b) cāritra mohanīya (conduct deluding). 34 a. Darśana- mohanīya is further sub-divided35 into: 1. mithyātva - mohaṇīya (wrong belief) samyaktva - mohanīya (right belief) 3. miśra - mohaṇīya (mixed belief) b.
