________________ 202 SAMAYASĀRA jamhā ghāedi param pareņa ghyijjae ya sa payadi eyeņattheņa du kira bhanņai paraghāyaņāmetti (338) यस्माद्धन्ति वरं परेण हन्यते च सा प्रकृतिः । एतेनार्थेन किल भण्यते परघातनामेति ॥३३८॥ तम्हा ण कोवि जीवो उवधायो अत्थि तुम्ह उवएसे। जम्हा कम्मं चेव हि कम्मं घाएदि इदि भणियं ॥३३९।। tamhā ņa kovi jivo uvaghayao atthi tumha uvaese jamha kammaṁ ceva hi kammar ghāedi idi bhanivars. (339) तस्मान्न कोऽपि जीव उपघातकोऽस्ति युष्माकमुपदेशे । यस्मात्कर्म चैव हि कर्म हन्तीति भणित १३३९॥ 338 to 339. One class of koyma (praksli) destroys another or is destroyed by another; that class in this sense is called "Paraghata" (killing another being). Therefore no soul according to your teaching (can be considered) guilty of killing, because killing is merely a matter of one material karma destroying another material karma, as said above. एवं संखुवएसं जेउ पविति एरिसं समणा । तेसि पयडी कुव्वइ अप्पा य अकारया सव्वे ॥३४०॥ eva samkhuvaesan jeu parūvimti erisam samanā tesim payadi kuvvai appa ya akaraya savve (340) एवं सांख्योपदेशे ये तु प्ररूपयन्तीदृशं श्रमणाः । तेषां प्रकृतिः करोत्यात्मानश्वाकारकाः सर्वे ॥३४॥ अहवा मण्णसि मज्झं अप्पा अप्पाणमप्पणो कुणइ । एसो मिच्छसहावो तुम्हं एयं मुणंतस्स ॥३४१॥ ahava mannasi majjham appa appanamappano kunai eso micchasahāvo tumhameyam munarntassa (341) अथवा मन्यसे ममात्मात्मानमात्मना करोति । एष मिथ्यास्वभावस्तवैतन्मन्यमानस्य ॥३४॥ 340-341. If any Sramanas thus preach approving such a Sāmkhya doctrine, then according to them praksti (karmic material) becomes the agent and all the souls would be inactive.
