Attitude Significant towards rightness or Falsehood of scriptures: According to Jainas the sole yardstick for measuring falsehood or rightness of any scripture is one's attitude. It is the attitude of followers that makes a scripture true or false. A false scripture is a right scripture for the one with right attitude and right scripture is a false one for a person of perverse attitude. Democratic Approach to the path of Liberation: The term democratic itself is self-explanatory. Just as no discrimination is made on the basis of birth, caste, creed, gender etc. Similarly, door of liberation is open to all the salvable selves irrespective of their birth, creed, gender etc. Liberation is not the prerogative of only the followers of Jina Order according to them. The varieties of liberated souls expounded in Jaina canon-is testimony to this:By eliminating the vices of attachment and aversion only one can attain emancipation.
