पं० रतनचन्द भारिल्ल ने पुरस्कार को जिनवाणी का सम्मान बताया। भारिल्ल परिवार ने एक लाख रुपये की पुरस्कार राशि में ५० हजार रुपये और जोड़कर साहित्य प्रकाशन की श्रृंखला को बनाये रखने के लिये न्यास की घोषणा की।
संस्था की अध्यक्षा श्रीमती सरयू दफ्तरी व मन्त्री श्री सुरेश चन्द जैन ने राज्यपाल का स्वागत किया। सतीश जैन (आकाशवाणी) ने मंच संचालन किया। पुरस्कार के संयोजक पवन जैन (अमेरिका) ने आभार व्यक्त किया। International Summer School for Jaina Studies Meets at
University of Hawaii, Honolulu October 5, 2005. The organizers of the International Summer School for Jaina Studies met at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu on October 5, 2005. The meeting was attended by a delegation of 18 prominent Jains from India, U.K and U.S.A.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Judith Miller, Dean, College of Arts and Humanities and was opened with the welcoming remarks by Prof. Cromwell Crawford, Professor of Comparative Religions at the University of Hawaii. Prof. Crawford is also the Academic Director of the INTERNATIONAL Summer School for Jaina Studies. In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Crawford emphasized the need and importance of this unique program.
