tion-and the method (vidhi) of yoga
manaskāra-bhāvanā, (ii) nature of the audarika (gross objects), (iii) the two-fold desired objects (kāmāḥ), (iv) the two-fold kāma vitarka
(a) samprayogaviveka, and
(b) ālumbana viveka, (v) the upaklešas, (vi) nature of the four stages of trance acquired
after the extinction of the akušala dharmas, (vii) defects in the prītinimittas (the twofold
apakṣālas), (viii) the varṇasainjñā in the determination of the
nature of ākāša—the various anatyāyatanas, (ix) the twofold samāpatti without mental
concentration (a) asamjñi samāpatti, and
(b) nirodha samāpatti, (x) entrance in the stage of samāpatti, (xi) the five ahbijñās, the bhāvanā of twelve-fold
sainjñās, (xii) a description of the person who is born in : the species of the devas (having contem
plated in the four dhyānas), and (xiii) the traits of a detached person.
