पदार्थकुमुदवात etc. वंदे वाचं परिस्यन्दजगदानंददायिनीं ।
Ends: अथ च सुधियां etc. इति भट्ट श्री सोमेश्वरविरचिते etc. संपूर्णश्व काव्यादर्शो नाम काव्यप्रकाशसंकेत इति शुभं । छ. सं. १९३१ आषाढप्रथमकृष्ण सप्तम्यां चंद्रवासरे लिपीकृतं व्यास टीकमदास श्री जयशैलनगरे वैरीशालराज्ये शुभं भवतु ।'
The various readings of K. P. are given in appendix I. So also the variants of A and B mss. of the Kavyadarśa-Kavyaprakāśasamketa are given in appendix II. The paper ms. C appears to be only a copy of A.

Authorship, Date etc.
The double authorship of Kavyaprakāśa
This question pertains to two different matters: one, the attribution of the authorship of Vṛtti and Karikas of Kavyaprakasa to separate persons and the other to the attribution of authorship of a part of Kavyaprakasa as a whole to one, and a part to another. The first matter has been discussed in detail by M. M. Dr. P. V. Kane. In his History of Sanskrit Poetics published in 1951, he comes to the conclusion that Mammata must be held to be the author of Karikas also (that is in addition to his being the author of Vṛtti). But one of the references mentioned by him as an argument requires to be corrected. He says "None of the earlier commentators such as चंद्र, जयन्त, सरखतीतीर्थ, सोमेश्वर makes any distinction between the author of thes and of the af." Now as far as Someśvara is concerned, he refers to af and far as if he is a different author. For.example, Someśvara after explaining the Kārikā लक्ष्यं न मुख्यं etc. ( उ. २.१६. पृ. २५) says: fa. So also in Ullasa 10 pp. 262 and 291 तन्न युक्तमित्याह वृत्तिकार : - क्रूरस्येति and तथात्रैव द्वयोर्युगपद् अनुपादानेऽपि ज्ञेयमित्याह वृत्तिकृद् अत्रैव तुच्छेति । respectively.

Considering the fact that Somesvara is earlier than Manikyacandra as we shall see later, the question of the separate authorship of Kärikäs and Vṛtti still remains open.
