9. For the implication of hetua see Introduction. Bare quelqu:, highly intelligent (persons). fuqur is the usual form of the word. eftery is not recorded by MW.
10. As the words '45759gar affat make no sense they have been emended to 'मुपेन्द्रवज्रां नृप तो गिरन्ति. नृप and गिरन्ति are used in this emendation as these very words occur in the definitions of 18 and rear in stzs. 9 and 12 respectively.
