We are extremely happy to know that JAIN SOCIETY OF GREATER ATLANTA, GEORGIA, USA is going to publish a souvenir to commemorate the consecration ceremony of New Jain Temple and Pratista Ceremony (Installation Ceremony) of New Idols of Jain Teerthankaras at Atlanta City Georgia State, USA being held from 19th November, 2008 through 24th November, 2008
Word JINA" means Conqueror. A great soul who conquers the evils (KARMAS) of his ownself is called as "JINA". Great God Lord JINA or JINENDRA BHAGWAN preached holy Dharma called "JAINA DHARMA". Those who practice the principles of "JAINA DHARMA" are called as "JAINS". Devotees of his contemporary period used to go to his "Samavasara"(the holy place of his preaching) to worship him and listen to his holy preaching. But during the period of his absence his followers were in need of a place to practice the Dharma. Then they built Jain Temples and installed the statues of Lord Jinendra Bhagwan to worship him. Hence Jain temples are the replicas of "Samavasarana" and the Jain statues are real images of Lord Jinendra Bhagwan ("Jina Bimb)

We appreciate the efforts of Jain Society of Greater Atlanta, Georgia, USA for their creat understandings to build a common Jain Temple dedicated to all sub sects of Jianisn viz.. Swetambar, Digambar. Stanakwasi, Terah Panthi and Shreemad Rajchand Pantheas. This unity shows their broad vision and mutual understanding which is the need of the hour
