(1) In ancient texts, this place is referred to as “Serisa" or "Serisayapara" (vide V. T. K, P. 24, 25, and 106). It seems to have once been an important town. Vide also Muni "Jña navijaya, Jain Tirthono Itihas", p. 40 ff.
