PREFACE
Lord Mahāvīra was the twenty-fourth Tīrthankara of Jain religion. He gave the message of non-violence, equality and non-possession more than 2500 years ago. His message is an inspiration for entire humanity. This book contains 230 thought-provoking aphorisms selected from the Jaina Agamic texts. Each aphorism has a title with translation in Hindi and English. Today there is a great need to propagate the teachings of Lord Mahāvīra. It is hoped that 'Springs of Jaina Wisdom' will give peace and solace to the humanity suffering from grief and tension in modern times. I beg to be excused if any errors are found in the book.
