One may refer to stanzas 193 and 197 also to note the difference between the two persons at the spiritual level. उप्पण्णोदय भोगो वियोगबुद्धीए तस्स सो णिच्चं । I कंखामणागदस्स य उदयस्स ण कुव्वदे णाणी ||215 ।। Uppannodaya bhogo viyogabuddhie tassa so niccam. Kamkhamanagadassa ya udayassa na kuvvade ṇānī. ||215|| उत्पन्नोदयभोगो वियोगबुद्ध्या तस्य स नित्यम् । कांक्षामनागतस्य च उदयस्य न करोति ज्ञानी ।। 215 || An enlightened being always has detachment with the consumption of the fruition of Karma in the present; and he does not long for any Karmika fruition for the future. [215] Annotation In this stanza Acārya Kundakunda explains that an enlightened being (Jñāni) experiences the fruits of the previously bonded Karma without any attachment. He also does not have any desire for any physical comfort, fame, etc. for the future. What about past experiences? Answer: Any memory or emotion in the present related with the past is recognized by an enlightened being as something different from him. He identifies himself with the soul. As such he does not become owner of all such memories, emotions, and physical things associated with his personality. जो वेददि वेदिज्जदि समए समए विणस्सदे उभयं । तं जागो दु णाणी उभयं पि ण कंखदि कयावि ।। 216 || Jo vedadi vedijjadi samae samae viņassade ubhayam.
