rsa, I as the merchant named Anangadeva and the other as the merchant named Dhanadeva. The other nursed a secret hatred against me though he kept up all the appearences of a friend, with a view to deceive me of my gain, prepared sweet cakes and put a strong poison in them to offer them to me. But by mistake he ate the poisoned cakes and died. All the gain came to me. But I became averse to worldly life and took to asceticism.
